What do you have to do?
Come in for a free consult! Dr. Nair will use a microscopic hair camera test which takes magnified photos of your hair at the scalp level. This will allow him to compare the diameter change in your hair and see new hair growth that is not detectable with the naked eye. This test is conducted periodically throughout the term of the treatment program. Dr. Nair will tell you immediately whether you are a perfect candidate, potential or even marginal candidate or not at all during the consult. He will describe exactly the state of your follicles. For instance, if your scalp is shiny like Dr. Phil’s, the hair follicles are dead and nothing can regenerate them. Prior to the ‘shiny scalp’ (which is skin growing over the dead follicles) there is a long stage and many cycles of dormancy. As long as your follicles are dormant which will show on the microscopic hair camera, there is help! Treatment is really sitting under the hood of the laser for 20 minutes reading a magazine or catching up on work. The results are cumulative so your commitment is the key to success. You will start out 2 times a week for the first 3 months and reduce from there but in all honesty, you are in treatment for at least 9 months averaging 40 - 45 treatments. Why is my hair thinning/shedding?
The main causes of hair loss are attributed to genetics and hormonal imbalances. Other causes are medications, stress, menopause, post-partum changes, toxins from our environment and products we use and our diet.
What is DHT?
Dihydrotestoterone, otherwise known as DHT is a protein blocking enzyme we produce at varying levels. DHT causes hair follicles to stop producing the thick, healthy hair we once had. Follicles become clogged with unhealthy debris. Using powerful, yet low level laser energy, the lasers stimulate the follicles in the scalp helping to increase energy production to reduce the effects of DHT.
How does the laser Program work?
The Laser Hair Program involves safe Low Level Laser Therapy (cold lasers, no chance to burn) which rotates around your head as well as pinpoints problem areas stimulating the blood flow which regenerates your hair follicles from dormant to productive. How is the program administered?
Dr. Nair will evaluate your status and prescribe the proper treatment program. When you come in for treatment, a staff member will set up you. How soon will I begin to see results?

How do you know if it will work for me?

Since this program is based on a cosmetic laser light, it doesn’t interfere with any other treatments, it can only help further.
Is this a one-time permanent procedure?
It is a 9-12 month program, tailored to fit your individual progress and needs, and at the end of the 12 months, you will need a monthly treatment to maintain the results.
Is there guarantee?
The guarantee is that your scalp will be healthy, you will stop continued hair loss and dormant hair follicles will revive if you have no other health issues prohibiting the process. The timing of the process is not guaranteed due to the hormonal composition of an individual which is variable.
Is it covered by insurance?

Who does it NOT work for?
Mostly people who have been completely bald for an extended period of time. If the follicles have closed off completely, it’s not possible to re-open them, but if they are only blocked or still in the process of closing up, there’s still time. It isn’t necessarily based on age, since hair loss is individual in terms of rates of loss and amount.
